Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your home while still maintaining a strong connection with our practice. While routine work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you may occasionally be required to work evenings or weekends on a rotational basis. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms on clients' lives, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, preferences, and personal goals, incorporating evidence-based methodologies.

• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively manage and mitigate symptoms of mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders by providing information about treatment options and empowering them with self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor client progress and outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure efficacy and sustainability of therapy.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, facilitating a holistic approach to client care.

• Stay updated on the latest research and clinical advancements in mood disorder treatments to integrate innovative techniques into practice.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, including treatment plans and progress notes.

• Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and professional training events to continually enhance clinical skills and transform best practices for mood disorder management.

• Advocate for de-stigmatization of mood disorders while enhancing client engagement and empowerment in their mental health journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, which includes a diverse range of backgrounds and life experiences. Your practice will involve supporting clients through the complexities of conditions such as depression and bipolar disorder, with a particular emphasis on understanding their unique challenges and aspirations in achieving mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably with a focus on mood disorders.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques specifically geared towards mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.
\n
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.

• Demonstrated success in achieving positive therapeutic outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across diverse client populations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in group therapy settings focused on mood disorders.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth technology.

Compensation and Benefits\n
