Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive client assessments to identify mental health and substance use issues, with a focus on diagnosing co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborating closely with clients to create and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and strategies.

• Providing both individual and group therapy sessions that focus on developing essential coping mechanisms, relapse prevention skills, and techniques for emotional regulation.

• Engaging in regular coordination with our multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care, including collaborating with psychiatrists and addiction specialists.

• Utilizing motivational interviewing techniques during sessions to encourage clients actively to participate in their recovery journey.

• Educating clients and their families about the complexities of mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment adherence.

• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate documentation of treatment progress and interventions following ethical standards and legal guidelines.

• Participating in case conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions aimed at enhancing skills and knowledge in the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

• Experience and proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A strong understanding of the intricate relationship between mental health and substance use disorders.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates should have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling role. Familiarity with integrated care models and previous experience in outpatient settings would be highly beneficial.
