Work Environment\n

This position allows for a remote work setting, with an emphasis on providing services to students in school contexts. You will work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends as necessary to ensure comprehensive mental health support. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals working harmoniously to address the diverse mental health needs of students and ensuring that they feel safe and supported while receiving care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, taking into account their personal histories, concerns, and risks in order to develop individual treatment plans that support their academic and emotional growth.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care techniques in individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions to teach coping skills and promote emotional regulation among peers.
\n
• Work closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and school psychologists, to coordinate care and ensure that students receive a comprehensive approach to their mental health needs.

• Provide crisis intervention by utilizing de-escalation techniques and ensuring that appropriate referrals are made for students in need of higher levels of care.

• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions and available resources, empowering them to engage actively in their treatment processes.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and continuously improve the quality of mental health services provided.

• Stay informed about the latest laws, regulations, and ethical standards in mental health practice, particularly as they relate to services in educational environments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is the student population within our private school context, ranging from young children to adolescents. You'll work directly with individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and more. Your efforts will support their overall well-being, improving their academic performance and helping them build resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, with a strong preference for background in mental health or educational settings.

• A deep understanding of mental health disorders, effective treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care practices.

• Experience conducting mental health assessments and formulating treatment plans that address individual needs.

• Proven skills in both individual and group therapy.

• Strong crisis intervention competencies, with the capacity to manage high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to build trusting relationships with students and their families.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer proficiency.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
