Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work closely with a diverse clientele in a supportive outpatient setting. The scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to enjoy a work-life balance while providing care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique rehabilitation goals.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic exercises, utilizing a variety of modalities to optimize recovery and function.
• Maintain a manageable caseload, allowing you to dedicate personalized time and attention to each patient to effectively monitor their progress.
• Educate patients about their conditions and provide guidance on recovery strategies, emphasizing non-surgical options and wellness promotion.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems effectively for precise documentation, tracking patient progress, and ensuring seamless communication within the team.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest physical therapy trends and techniques relevant to orthopedic care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient clinic in Dulles serves a broad range of patients, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with patients of various ages and activity levels, tailoring your approach to meet their specific rehabilitation needs and goals.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia with no history of sanctions or disciplinary action.
• Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic physical therapy, with a strong background in manual therapy techniques and evidence-based practices.
• Ability to create and implement effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Proficiency in using EMR, particularly with software such as WebPT, for accurate and timely documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling successful collaboration with patients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with current trends in sports medicine and physical therapy practices is preferred.
• Participation in continuing education and professional development activities related to orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
