Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Symbria Rehabilitation Center, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities aimed at improving patient outcomes:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to assess functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs through diagnostic testing.
• Develop and implement effective physical therapy treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the application of physical agents.
• Supervise and support Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring appropriate implementation of the patient care plan while providing instruction on treatment tasks.
• Regularly observe, document, and communicate changes in the patients' conditions to the interdisciplinary team and make necessary adjustments to the care plan.
• Advise clients and their families about the use and care of adaptive devices, fostering independence in daily living activities.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively evaluate and plan patient care, contributing insights and recommendations based on your clinical expertise.
• Prepare thorough and accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to company policies and standards.
• Engage with clients and families, providing education and resources that promote wellness and optimal recovery.
• Remain accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants and other team members for guidance and support during treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients requiring home-based rehabilitation services, including those recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. Your expertise will help empower clients to regain independence, maximize their physical abilities, and achieve their rehabilitation goals. Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance to travel to patient locations.
• A creative and collaborative approach to problem-solving and patient care.

Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a physical therapy role, preferably in an acute care or home healthcare environment. A demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, combined with strong interpersonal communication skills, is also essential. Candidates should be comfortable engaging with a diverse patient demographic and possess the ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits
