Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite within patients' homes, providing a unique and personalized care experience. Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care by developing and implementing tailored treatment plans based on each patient's specific orthopedic needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Assess patient conditions thoroughly, utilizing specialized orthopedic evaluation techniques to determine the best course of action for treatment.
• Maintain a manageable caseload to ensure each patient receives the time and attention necessary for effective recovery, typically conducting one-on-one therapy sessions.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based manual therapy techniques and modalities to improve patients' mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Educate patients on non-surgical alternatives for managing orthopedic issues, promoting strength and flexibility while minimizing reliance on medication.
• Collaborate closely with fellow health professionals to create an integrated care team aimed at supporting the patient's recovery journey.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment details accurately using EMR systems, particularly Web PT, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive environment that empowers patients to take an active role in their own recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and mobility limitations. Ascove Fitness and Rehab recognizes the importance of individualized care, and as such, you will be instrumental in helping patients navigate their recovery challenges, tailoring approaches to suit various demographics and needs throughout Charlottesville.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active Virginia Physical Therapist license with a clean professional record, free from sanctions.
• Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic manual therapy techniques and a strong grasp of current evidence-based physical therapy practices.
• A proven track record of designing and executing successful therapeutic exercise programs tailored to individual patients.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, particularly Web PT, for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation setting.
• Specialization in sports medicine or work with specific orthopedic conditions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop rapport with diverse patient populations and their families.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
