Work Environment

This position will be exclusively onsite at our outpatient office located in Charlottesville, VA. Working in a collaborative and supportive team setting, you will have access to cutting-edge equipment and resources to facilitate patient-driven recovery programs. Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you ample time to focus on delivering personalized and impactful therapeutic care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to understand their goals, needs, and physical limitations.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one individual per hour to ensure quality interactions and customized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques to develop and implement individualized care plans that address specific rehabilitation goals.
• Employ manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to enhance mobility and decrease pain.
• Educate and encourage patients to embrace non-surgical treatment alternatives, minimizing reliance on medications.
• Design fitness and wellness programs tailored to each patient's unique needs to support their overall health journey.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Document all aspects of patient care, including progress notes and interventions, to maintain accurate records.
• Provide continual motivation and guidance to patients, fostering their engagement and commitment to the therapeutic process.
• Evaluate the effects of treatments and consistently monitor patient progress, ensuring adjustments are made as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient demographic consists of individuals undergoing rehabilitation from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery and sports injuries. We take pride in our approach that emphasizes personalized care and holistic well-being, with an aim to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and overall physical coordination.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with no prior board actions or disciplinary actions on record.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in creating effective exercise regimens.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, ensuring efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to implement cutting-edge rehabilitation strategies effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
