Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Onsite Rehabilitation Specialist

Physio Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our team in Charlottesville, Virginia. This full-time, onsite role involves working closely with patients to restore motion, enhance mobility, and promote overall well-being. You will be an integral partner in the patient's rehabilitation journey, aiming to optimize their function and quality of life through evidence-based practices and personalized care plans.

Located in the heart of Charlottesville, the Physio Recovery Center is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility specializing in orthopedic outpatient care. Our 5,000 square feet sports medicine center is equipped with the latest technology and treatment modalities, designed to provide the highest quality of care for our patients. As a private practice, we primarily work with patients covered by private insurance, ensuring a personalized approach to healthcare that emphasizes patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Work Environment

You will be joining a collaborative team composed of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant. Our practice fosters a supportive atmosphere that encourages professional development and ongoing education. The working schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing a balanced approach to work and personal life while meeting the needs of our patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their goals, needs, and impairments.
• Design and implement personalized care plans utilizing a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring comprehensive attention and quality interactions.
• Educate and motivate patients on their treatment plans, aiming to improve their strength, flexibility, balance, and overall coordination.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress regularly within electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and enhance patient outcomes.
• Foster a positive and encouraging environment that promotes patient engagement and adherence to their rehabilitation protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic patients seeking recovery from injuries or surgeries. We treat a diverse range of conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and pre/post-natal care. Our team is committed to providing compassionate and patient-centered treatment tailored to the individual needs, helping clients regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia with no board actions or disciplinary sanctions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records systems, particularly WebPT, to document patient care effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• A proven track record of developing successful treatment plans and achieving positive patient outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation package ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
