Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through virtual consultations, ensuring accurate documentation from the initial intake to final assessments.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a varied clientele, including adults, children, couples, and families based on current mental, emotional, and behavioral health status.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques while focusing on client empowerment and recovery.
\n
• Monitor clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of mental health specialists, primary care physicians, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies and referrals.

• Follow up on patients placed under the care of psychiatrists and hospital staff to ensure smooth transitions from inpatient care to outpatient support.
\n
• Identify barriers to recovery and employ preventative strategies to help clients overcome these challenges.

• Guide family members and caregivers of clients in navigating mental and behavioral health concerns effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our center services a diverse population that includes individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and other behavioral disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution, ensuring a strong foundation in mental health care.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York; this ensures compliance with state regulations and professional standards.

• Demonstrated success on either the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) showcasing competency in counseling principles.

• Excellent command of electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, ensuring effective documentation and management of client care.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills necessary for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proven experience in the mental health counseling field, ideally working with clients from varied backgrounds and with different mental health needs.

• Familiarity with the latest best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Expertise in addressing concurrent physical and emotional health issues, including addiction disorders, will be advantageous.

• An in-depth understanding of prescription medications often utilized in treatment, contributing to a holistic approach to client care.

• A compassionate yet professional demeanor, with empathy and excellent interpersonal skills essential for building rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
