Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and screenings to identify patient needs and formulate effective treatment strategies.

• Deliver individualized counseling sessions focusing on crisis intervention and ongoing therapeutic support tailored to each patient's unique situation and challenges.

• Lead and facilitate therapeutic group sessions and workshops focusing on vital topics such as stress management, coping strategies, and self-esteem building.

• Collaborate meaningfully with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and community outreach coordinators, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Participate in outreach programs aimed at reducing stigma surrounding mental health and increasing awareness within the community through events and informational campaigns.

• Assure compliance with ethical and legal standards by maintaining accurate, confidential patient records and supervising documentation practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counseling center serves a varied patient demographic, including individuals from diverse backgrounds experiencing mental health challenges. Clients may present with anxiety, depression, trauma histories, and other life stressors. The individualized approach allows counselors to contribute to each client's journey toward recovery and personal well-being.

Qualifications\n

• An active state license as either a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist.

• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.

• In-depth understanding of mental health challenges faced by individuals in community health settings.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with clients and build rapport within a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques appropriate for diverse populations.

• A high level of adaptability to excel in a fast-paced environment while managing a varied caseload efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in community health settings or hospitals, particularly with outpatient services.
