Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and thorough intake assessments, documenting clients’ needs and objectives accurately from the initial consultation through the treatment process.

• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored for each client, utilizing evidence-based practices and taking into consideration their unique histories and needs.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage client expression and foster healing.

• Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as required to ensure the highest standards of care.

• Collaborate seamlessly with other mental health professionals, including social workers and psychiatrists, to create cohesive and comprehensive treatment plans.

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients, families, and caregivers to support the recovery process, ensuring they are informed and involved throughout.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to prevent relapse, ensuring long-term success for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population encountering a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and substance use disorders. Your expertise will enable you to support individuals, couples, families, and groups, creating a positive environment that emphasizes empowerment and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Successful completion of relevant examinations, including the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure effective documentation and case management.

• Strong understanding of the latest developments in psychotherapy techniques and best practices in mental health counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience providing counseling services within an outpatient setting, demonstrating a robust understanding of various therapeutic approaches.

• Experience working with co-occurring disorders and familiarity with the implications of medications prescribed by medical professionals.

• Active engagement in ongoing professional development, including familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
