Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Diamond Hearts, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical conditions and limitations.
• Collaborating with patients to create personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
• Implementing therapeutic exercises and instruction on their proper execution to enhance recovery and functionality.
• Utilizing manual therapy techniques such as massage and mobilization to alleviate pain and promote healing.
• Guiding patients in the effective use of assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, walkers, and orthotics.
• Maintaining thorough documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and adjustments in therapy plans.
• Providing education to patients and their families regarding home exercise programs and self-care strategies to enhance recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the privilege of working with a varied patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients, each with diverse diagnoses from sports injuries to post-surgical rehabilitation. Your role will significantly contribute to improving their quality of life and achieving their rehabilitation goals, fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship throughout the treatment process.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the field is required, we are particularly interested in candidates with experience in orthopedics, geriatrics, or neurological rehabilitation. Compensation and Benefits
