Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms. Develop individualized treatment plans, collaboratively with clients, that specifically target their needs and goals. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to each client. Educate clients and their families on mood disorders and provide guidance on effective self-care strategies. Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs. Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care and optimal patient outcomes. Stay informed on the latest research regarding mood disorder treatments and maintain professional development through workshops and training. Document all client interactions accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Participate in team meetings and case consultations to share insights and foster a collaborative atmosphere. Advocate for clients and contribute to efforts that aim to reduce the stigma around mental health conditions. Patient Population / Client Focus Your focus will be on individuals grappling with mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, as well as anxiety-related conditions. This role requires building relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds, understanding their unique experiences, and delivering tailored, culturally competent care to promote their emotional wellness. Qualifications A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory. Current and valid licensure in California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is required. Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment methods, specifically CBT and DBT for mood disorders. A strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate with psychiatrists effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to foster relationships built on trust and respect. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a community health clinic setting or similar, particularly working with diverse populations. A proven history of successful patient outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth best practices.
