Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to comprehensively evaluate patients' clinical history and current psychological state.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address each individual's unique trauma recovery pathway and resilience-building needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, build coping strategies, and enhance emotional healing.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and nurses, to deliver comprehensive patient care that integrates therapeutic approaches with medical insights.

• Provide real-time crisis intervention and support, managing trauma-related emergencies promptly and empathetically.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and develop personalized coping strategies, while navigating available resources effectively.

• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of therapy sessions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team consultations and professional development initiatives aimed at advancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about emerging research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually refine therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients served at Atlas Psychological and Counseling Center predominantly include individuals dealing with trauma, particularly those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our approach is centered on understanding each patient's narrative and history to provide personalized care that acknowledges the unique aspects of their experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a relevant mental health setting.
\n
• Strong understanding and practical application of trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building approaches.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, demonstrating a depth of clinical expertise.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and understanding approach towards patients.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and respond effectively to patient needs.

• Competence in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team structure to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
