Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Leading psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups tailored to the diverse needs of students.

• Conducting individual clinical assessments to evaluate student needs and determine appropriate intervention strategies.

• Providing crisis management support both during therapy sessions and in the school environment to ensure patient safety.

• Creating and executing discharge plans from the first day of admission, including comprehensive discharge sessions to reinforce coping strategies and resources.
\n
• Coordinating with the Utilization Review and Business Departments regarding authorization and payment processes to ensure seamless care transitions.
\n
• Facilitating communication with referral sources and outpatient providers, ensuring continuity of care during admissions, midpoints, and discharges.
\n
• Assisting with patient transfers to higher levels of care when necessary and working collaboratively with the treatment team, including milieu staff, to uphold clinical quality.

• Documenting clinical services accurately and in a timely manner in line with organizational policies and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on students experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges in the school environment. You will engage with a varied client base, including children and adolescents from diverse cultural backgrounds. Your role will require cultural competency and a commitment to understanding the unique perspectives of each student, thereby assisting them in navigating their personal challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline.

• Must be independently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
