This position is designed to be fully remote, offering flexibility while ensuring that you can provide quality patient care. Our outpatient setting is built on a foundation of trauma-informed principles, and while you will work independently, you will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and other mental health professionals dedicated to integrated patient care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to articulate patients' trauma histories, enabling the development of personalized and effective treatment approaches.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that address critical trauma recovery goals and encourage resilience-building strategies tailored to each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide mental health care tailored to complex challenges.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing trauma, acquiring coping strategies, and fostering healing in a supportive environment.

• Work closely with our team of psychiatrists and mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for all patients, enhancing treatment efficacy.

• Be available for crisis intervention and immediate support, addressing urgent trauma-related emergencies as they arise.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available coping resources to enhance their understanding and recovery journeys.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards and uphold confidentiality for all patient information.

• Engage in regular team meetings and professional development activities that emphasize the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with individuals suffering from trauma, including adults, adolescents, and families. Each patient presents unique backgrounds and experiences, requiring sensitivity and tailored therapeutic approaches. Your role will focus on building trust and rapport, vital for facilitating healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program is required.

• Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, particularly in trauma-focused contexts.
\n
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) management systems and relevant software applications.
\n
• Capacity to function effectively within a team-oriented environment, creating synergy across disciplines to enhance patient care outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is the minimum, we prefer candidates who have demonstrated knowledge and practical application of trauma-focused therapies, particularly EMDR and TF-CBT. Experience in providing crisis intervention and education to patients and families is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
