Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCSW, your responsibilities will include:

• Directly engaging with students experiencing major mental health issues or complex emotional challenges through both virtual consultations and in-person interactions when necessary.

• Facilitating individual assessments, compiling comprehensive treatment plans, and making appropriate referrals to supplementary services as needed.

• Conducting evidence-based screenings and follow-up assessments to determine ongoing mental health support.
\n
• Collaborating effectively with teachers, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to implement integrated care plans, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned.

• Providing crisis intervention and developing techniques for de-escalation to support students in times of urgent need.

• Maintaining accurate documentation of sessions, treatment progress, and administrative reports to comply with organizational standards and legal requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is the school-aged population, with an emphasis on underrepresented and underserved communities in Long Beach and surrounding areas. You will play an essential part in addressing mental health challenges faced by students, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your expertise and cultural competency will be instrumental in establishing trust and rapport with diverse student backgrounds, ensuring each child receives empathetic and personalized support.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) with licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of California.

• A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience, ideally in educational or community mental health settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The estimated salary range for this position is between USD 70,000 and 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
