Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with potential for adjusted schedules to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand the unique needs of each patient, followed by collaborative development of personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s circumstances and backgrounds, focusing on delivering optimal care.

• Lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive atmosphere to help patients confront their mental health challenges and build resilience.

• Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and support across disciplines.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, effectively managing acute situations with composure.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment methodologies, and available resources, enabling informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines in patient care.

• Actively engage in case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions focused on cultural competency to continually enhance therapeutic practices.

• Stay updated on relevant research and best practices in mental health therapy, ensuring that the care provided is informed by the latest findings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on serving a diverse patient base that encompasses various cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including those from marginalized communities as well as LGBTQ+ and immigrant populations. This role allows for the exploration of unique cultural contexts, ensuring that treatment approaches resonate meaningfully with each patient’s individual experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited academic institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders along with knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven experience in delivering both individual and group therapy with an emphasis on culturally responsive practices.

• Exceptional skills in crisis intervention, maintaining poise while addressing challenging mental health situations.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, enabling effective rapport-building with a variety of individuals and families.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, along with solid computer skills for documentation and patient management.

• A deep commitment to ethical practice, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

• Ability to contribute collaboratively in multidisciplinary team settings, leveraging collective expertise to enhance patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of direct experience in a mental health counseling setting, preferably engaging with multicultural communities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Our competitive salary ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
