Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, making it both convenient and conducive to maintaining a balanced work-life schedule. Our standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility in scheduling to accommodate our patients’ needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally-sensitive mental health assessments to accurately grasp each patient’s unique experiences and needs, thereby developing effective and individualized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are specifically designed to respect and incorporate each patient's cultural and personal backgrounds.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a range of mental health concerns while promoting patient resilience and overall well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care for all patients.

• Provide critical crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating both skill and compassion.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources that can assist them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage actively in case conferences, contribute to team meetings, and participate in cultural competency training sessions to enhance service delivery.

• Stay informed about current research, best practices, and relevant cultural considerations in mental health therapy, continuously evolving as a practitioner.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Virginia.
\n
• A thorough understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methods, and essential cultural competence practices in therapeutic settings.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy that employs culturally responsive methodologies.

• Strong crisis intervention abilities and a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build rapport with various clientele.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology platforms.

• A commitment to ethical standards, professional boundaries, and patient confidentiality.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health counseling role, preferably in a multicultural environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Furthermore, our benefits package includes:
