Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by patients in hospice care.

• Facilitate couples and family therapy to strengthen support systems for patients and their loved ones.

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate emotional states, behavioral patterns, and cognitive functions, tailoring interventions accordingly.

• Engage in training and development activities to enhance clinical skills and promote evidence-based practices within the team.

• Collaboration with TEAP Specialists for short-term counseling, alongside other medical and wellness staff to ensure coordinated care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on patients receiving hospice care, many of whom are facing terminal illnesses or end-of-life transitions. You will work closely with families to navigate complex emotional responses, grief, and loss while providing compassionate support and practical coping strategies. This requires a deep understanding of the unique social and psychological challenges present in hospice environments.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid LICSW License in the state of Washington.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a closely related field, along with a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience.

• Commitment to working a flexible schedule, with the potential to dedicate up to 20 hours a week to client engagement.

• Exceptional communication skills, with an emphasis on creating a soothing and supportive therapeutic atmosphere.

• Possession of a current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist is preferred, without any restrictions such as suspension or probation.
