Superior Balance Physical Health Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist for a full-time role in our Tampa, Florida rehabilitation center. Work Environment

Located in the dynamic city of Tampa, Florida, our rehabilitation center offers an onsite work environment where you will engage directly with patients in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies. The center fosters a collaborative atmosphere, with two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA) working closely together to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and set personalized treatment goals to enhance their physical capabilities.
• Manage an individual patient caseload effectively, ensuring one-on-one care for each client every hour.
• Utilize your knowledge of orthopedic physical therapy to develop comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based methodologies.
• Implement various treatment strategies aimed at improving patients' range of motion, reducing pain, and enhancing mobility through manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Document patient progress meticulously using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to monitor treatment efficacy and make necessary adjustments.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications and preventive measures that promote long-term health and mobility.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals to provide a truly integrated approach to patient care.
• Motivate and encourage patients, tracking their progress and celebrating milestones to boost their confidence and commitment to therapy.
• Continuously evaluate treatment outcomes, adapt methodologies, and maintain open communication with patients regarding their health journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with adult patients suffering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgery recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will apply your expertise to guide patients through tailored rehabilitation programs that facilitate healing and empower them to regain independence.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, ensuring you have a solid educational foundation in patient care.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license is essential.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid grasp of orthopedic rehabilitation protocols.
• Expertise in developing effective individualized exercise programs that address patients' unique needs and goals.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to enhance the documentation and tracking of patient care activities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly valued, as it will enhance your ability to understand patient challenges and recovery pathways.
• Previous experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve comprehensive patient treatment goals is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
