Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient assessments to determine functional capabilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, focusing on patient engagement and successful recovery outcomes.
• Conduct therapeutic interventions, including hands-on modalities, exercises, and patient education, within the established scope of practice.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as required to achieve rehabilitation goals.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and home care strategies to empower them in their recovery process.
• Prioritize caseload management, ensuring effective coordination of patient assignments and timely communication with the patient care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes both adults and pediatrics with a variety of conditions, from sports injuries to post-surgical rehabilitation. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals at different stages of recovery, enabling you to utilize your skills and knowledge in diverse therapeutic approaches. Additionally, you will participate in community outreach programs to educate the public about physical therapy and its benefits.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• A current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

While no prior experience is required, candidates with experience in outpatient orthopedic settings or pediatric physical therapy will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and rehabilitation outcome measures will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
