Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to obtain a comprehensive understanding of clients' mental health and substance use concerns, enabling the identification of co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based methodologies, ensuring that interventions are tailored to meet their specific needs.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at equipping clients with essential coping strategies, relapse prevention skills, and techniques for emotional regulation.

• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to ensure a unified approach to client care that addresses the multifaceted nature of co-occurring disorders.

• Regularly monitor clients' substance use through detailed check-ins and implement motivational interviewing techniques to sustain their engagement in recovery.

• Provide education to clients and their families about the complexities of co-occurring disorders, treatment options, and the significance of adherence to treatment protocols.

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of client progress, treatment interventions, and referrals, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case conferences, monthly staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enrich your skills and knowledge in the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will encounter a variety of cases ranging from anxiety and depression to more complex dual-diagnosis scenarios. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities for co-occurring disorders, specifically Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A strong understanding of the complexities between mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
