Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Winter Haven, Florida. The clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and tools essential for effective rehabilitation practices. The atmosphere promotes collaboration among healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our work schedule typically runs Monday to Friday, with occasional rotating hospital shifts on weekends, fostering flexibility and variety in your routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients, setting individualized treatment goals, and designing tailored treatment programs based on physicians' orders.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge summaries to support continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to assess patient impairments and functional limitations, synthesizing data to create effective therapeutic interventions that are age-appropriate and developmentally sensitive.
• Monitor and document the effectiveness of interventions, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans and collaborating with physical therapy assistants (PTAs) and support staff for optimal patient care.
• Engage in regular discussions with a variety of healthcare professionals to implement comprehensive treatment strategies and adjust interventions as necessary.
• Provide mentorship and supervision to PTAs and support staff, ensuring high standards of care in alignment with therapeutic goals.
• Participate in departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing workflow efficiency and promoting continuous professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients experiencing various musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical recovery, neurological injuries, and chronic pain disorders. Our patient population includes children, adults, and the elderly, each requiring individualized attention and a custom approach to rehabilitation. Your role will be pivotal in educating patients on their conditions, guiding them through their treatment journey, and inspiring them towards active participation in their recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university is required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida is necessary.
• Demonstrable skills in both verbal and written communication are essential for effective interaction with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records to manage patient documentation effectively.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least two years of experience in a physical therapy setting. This experience may include diverse rehabilitation environments where you have successfully developed and implemented treatment plans for a variety of patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, based on your experience and qualifications.
