Sales Development Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sales Development Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, hire, train and ramp a team of sales development representatives;
- Develop Sales Development Representatives into sales-ready candidates for further development within the organization;
- Motivate team members through creative incentives;
- Monitor SDR dashboards to make sure data is accurate, team is on pace to achieve goals and take action when and where needed;
- Develop team processes and best practices;
- Motivate, incentivize, and recognize team members to encourage top performance;
- Hire, coach and manage a team of sales development reps;
- Define performance driven metrics, and expectations for pipeline creation;
- Identify opportunities to level up; implement solutions thoughtfully;
- Regularly report on team/individual results;
- Hire and onboard new SDRs to the organization;
- Train members of the SDR team to identify, contact and create qualified lead opportunities;
- Work closely with marketing team and provide feedback on lead quality, etc;
- Manage sales engagement software and CRM;
- Monitoring outbound activities such as call and email volume.
Requirements:
- You have experience selling a technical product or possess the aptitude to quickly learn this;
- Comfort with ambiguity; ability to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment;
- You have strong analytical abilities with a background in planning and managing through data;
- Consistent proven track record of over achievement of quota expectations;
- One plus years of experience in Software Sales and Marketing lead-generation/Sales Development/Business Development Management;
- Experience selling a software solution to prospective clients;
- A High School diploma is required. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is preferred;
- Ability to utilize data to uncover leads/opportunities;
- Ability to think critically and come up with creative solutions to problems;
- Consistently hitting and exceeding quotas(team and individual);
- Comfortable working in a rapidly-changing, fast-paced environment;
- Bachelor’s degree;
- B.A. or B.S. with interest in a sales career path in a fast growing New Orleans company;
- Coordinate with Sales Leadership to build varied targeted calling campaigns;
- Outbound SDR management experience strongly preferred.
