Customer Success Leader - Pharma & Life Sciences Analytics

We value capability, curiosity, ownership, and attitude, enabling our people to “Leave a Mark.” About the Role We are seeking a commercially minded Pharma and Life Sciences Customer Success Consultant to drive growth, account expansion, and strategic partnership development across key pharmaceutical and biotech clients. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, helping identify new opportunities, expand existing engagements, and connect client business needs with MathCo’s analytics, AI, GenAI, and data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep pharma domain expertise with strong consulting, relationship management, and business development capabilities. This role requires the ability to understand a client’s business priorities, translate those priorities into actionable analytics opportunities, and partner with internal teams to deliver high-impact solutions. The role will be primarily focused on revenue growth and account expansion, with secondary responsibility for delivery oversight and client success. Level will be determined based on experience and may be hired at the Associate Principal or Principal level. Key Responsibilities Revenue Growth & Account Expansion — 50% Build, strengthen, and mature executive-level client relationships across Pharma and Life Sciences accounts. Serve as a trusted advisor by developing a deep understanding of client priorities, organizational structure, business challenges, and strategic direction. Identify whitespace opportunities within existing accounts and support account expansion initiatives. Drive growth strategy for assigned accounts, including opportunity identification, account planning, and long-term partnership development. Partner with internal sales, consulting, analytics, data science, engineering, and delivery teams to position MathCo’s analytics, AI, GenAI, and data solutions. Translate client business needs into actionable analytics opportunities, solution concepts, and engagement plans. Support opportunity shaping, proposal development, solution positioning, business case creation, and future engagement planning. Leverage expertise in pharma, commercial analytics, marketing analytics, patient analytics, and therapeutic areas to identify relevant growth opportunities. Build strong relationships across client functions, including Commercial, Brand Analytics, Data Science, Market Research, Market Access, Medical, and Enterprise Analytics teams. Manage account health, growth pipeline, stakeholder engagement, and escalation paths in partnership with internal leadership. Delivery & Client Success Oversight — 50% Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful execution of client engagements. Define project scope, success metrics, business outcomes, and stakeholder expectations. Serve as a bridge between client stakeholders and internal delivery organizations. Ensure alignment between client goals and internal delivery plans by clearly communicating strategy, priorities, and risks. Guide teams of managers, consultants, data scientists, and analysts in executing high-impact analytics solutions. Translate business needs into insights, recommendations, and clear “so what” / “now what” narratives for senior leadership. Monitor client satisfaction and proactively identify opportunities to improve engagement health. Support solution adoption, value realization, and long‑term client continuity. Address delivery risks or escalations in partnership with client stakeholders and internal teams. Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration Mentor and guide internal teams to develop strong consulting, problem‑solving, and client‑management capabilities. Collaborate across Commercial, Brand Analytics, Data Science, Market Research, Engineering, Delivery, and Customer Success teams. Operate effectively in a global delivery model, coordinating across distributed teams and time zones. Lead large, cross‑functional programs while maintaining alignment across client and internal stakeholders. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and excellence. Required Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience in consulting, analytics, customer success, account management, business development, data science, or Life Sciences industry roles. Demonstrated experience growing strategic client accounts or expanding existing client relationships. Experience managing executive‑level client relationships in complex, fast‑paced environments. Experience identifying, shaping, and converting new business opportunities. Strong consulting skills, including problem structuring, stakeholder management, executive communication, and insight development. Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate the strategic “so what” and “now what” to senior leadership. Experience translating business challenges into actionable analytics, AI, or data‑driven solutions. Proven ability to manage client accounts, including growth strategy, account health, resource planning, and escalations. Experience working with global or offshore delivery teams. Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to change, and drive clarity in evolving business environments. Experience managing large, cross‑functional programs with senior stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Pharma Commercial Analytics experience, including one or more of the following areas: Oncology, immunology or neurology analytics Patient analytics General Medicine or specialty therapeutic areas Brand analytics Market research analytics Forecasting Market access analytics Launch strategy Experience supporting large pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech organizations, or pharma‑focused consulting organizations. Experience with AI, GenAI, advanced analytics, enterprise data platforms, or digital transformation initiatives. Prior experience with a reputed consulting firm, analytics services firm, technology consulting firm, or Fortune 500 organization. Existing relationships within the Pharma or Life Sciences ecosystem. Experience working across Commercial, Brand Analytics, Data Science, Market Research, Medical, Market Access, or Enterprise Analytics functions. Advanced degree or MBA preferred. Ideal Candidate Profile Existing pharma or biotech industry relationships. Strong commercial instincts and a growth‑oriented mindset. Deep understanding of pharma commercial, analytics, AI, and data use cases. Ability to balance client engagement, opportunity development, and delivery oversight. Executive presence and credibility with senior client stakeholders. Strong relationship‑building skills in complex, high‑pressure environments. Consulting maturity and the ability to influence across client and internal teams. Comfort operating in ambiguity and shaping opportunities from early‑stage client needs. Education / Qualifications Master’s degree from a top‑tier university with a strong academic record, or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent relevant experience.
