Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their conditions and functional limitations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques, including hands-on therapy, exercises, and modalities to alleviate pain and promote movement.
• Document patient progress and responses to treatment meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on measurable outcomes.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on rehabilitation practices, assistive devices, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery process.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and contribute to an environment of continuous improvement.
• Attend ongoing education workshops and training to maintain professional licensure and stay updated on the latest rehabilitation techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will involve working with a diverse patient demographic, including children recovering from sports injuries, adults recovering from surgeries, and elderly patients seeking to enhance their mobility. Understanding each patient's unique background and challenges will be essential in crafting effective treatment plans. You will also liaise closely with caregivers and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient management.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to patients and collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Experience with electronic health records and basic computer skills.
• Strong adaptability and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• A collaborative attitude and an eagerness to learn, particularly for recent graduates or those new to the field.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, though exceptional new graduates will also be considered.
• Prior experience working in outpatient rehabilitation is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
