Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' histories and identify appropriate treatment methodologies.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to provide holistic care.

• Respond to crisis situations with timely intervention and support, ensuring a safe therapeutic space for clients in distress.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in continuous learning by staying current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy and participating in professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and various forms of emotional distress. Clients may present with conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The ability to foster a therapeutic alliance with clients and effectively address their unique experiences is vital for their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, preferably in trauma-informed care settings.

• Thorough knowledge of trauma-related disorders and compassionate treatment approaches, including trauma-focused therapies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n
