Work Environment\n

This full-time position allows you to work remotely, offering flexibility while still connecting with our outpatient office team. Our typical office hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. While the majority of sessions will be scheduled during regular hours, occasional evening shifts may be required to accommodate the needs of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments for children and adolescents to determine their specific needs.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect a deep understanding of the child's developmental stage and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers, enhancing their ability to foster a supportive environment for their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure an integrated approach to each patient’s treatment.

• Provide crisis intervention support, employing proven strategies during mental health emergencies.

• Educate children and their families about mental health issues and available treatment options, enhancing their understanding of community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, adhering to all ethical standards of practice.

• Participate actively in team meetings, contributing insights during case consultations and engaging in ongoing professional development activities.

• Stay abreast of the latest research, treatment advancements, and best practices in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role requires a focus on young individuals, primarily children and adolescents, who are navigating challenges related to mental health. You will work directly with patients experiencing a spectrum of disorders, from mild anxiety and depression to more complex issues such as ADHD and behavioral problems. Our goal is to create individualized treatment approaches that respect the unique context of each patient’s life.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or similar in the State of New York.

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to connect with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and a child-centered, empathetic approach to therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software, ensuring efficient documentation and management of patient information.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a competitive sign-on bonus to new hires.
