Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy plans that address each client’s unique needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused short therapy, and psychodynamic therapy to individuals, groups, and families.
• Maintain accurate and updated clinical documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards, ensuring a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Engage in regular case consultations with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers, to deliver holistic client care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development workshops to stay informed on the latest research and best practices in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will significantly impact a diverse client base that includes individuals and families from various backgrounds, many of whom may face socio-economic barriers to accessing mental health services. You will play a crucial role in treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and relationship issues, ensuring compassionate care tailored to each person’s experience.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• An active and unrestricted professional licensure as a Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.
• A comprehensive understanding of legal and ethical obligations in clinical mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport with a diverse array of clients.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software and familiarity with telehealth platforms to facilitate client sessions efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team, contributing to the collaborative effort of improving client outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000 annually, dependent on experience and caseload.
