Work Environment

This position is based in a home care setting, allowing you to work directly with patients in their own environments. You will have the flexibility to choose your own hours, primarily during weekdays from Monday to Friday, which supports a work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in their homes, focusing on their physical abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using therapeutic modalities such as exercise, manual therapy, and the use of assistive devices to promote mobility and pain reduction.
• Track patient progress meticulously, documenting treatment responses and making necessary adjustments to therapeutic goals and plans.
• Engage patients and their families in educational sessions on safe practice and use of assistive devices, ensuring understanding of home exercise programs.
• Maintain professional development by attending workshops, engaging in peer-reviewed research, and networking with other professionals in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient population will include individuals of varying ages and backgrounds who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sporting injuries, or other related conditions. By providing in-home therapy, you will directly impact the quality of life for these patients, allowing them to regain independence and functionality in familiar settings.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively convey treatment goals and processes to patients and their families.
• Proficiency in word processing and general computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Flexibility and agility to adjust to different patient environments and specific therapy challenges.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a physical therapy setting is advantageous but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working in home health settings or with assistive technologies is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
