Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct supportive individual therapy sessions for clients, under the supervision of a registered nurse, tailoring approaches based on each patient’s specific needs.

• Implement treatment plans by providing effective therapeutic support, fostering an environment conducive to open communication and healing.
\n
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient progress, ensuring progress notes are completed by the end of each shift and reflect the progress made toward treatment goals.

• Assist in orienting clients and their families to our clinic's resources and treatment options, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their therapeutic journey.

• Demonstrate proactive crisis management skills by identifying behavioral changes in clients and appropriately responding to emergency situations when they arise.

• Advocate for patient needs within the healthcare system, ensuring that individuals receive appropriate referrals and resources.

• Engage in continuous professional development and participate in staff meetings to discuss best practices, challenges, and innovations within mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Calm Harbor, you will work directly with a diverse client population, including individuals, couples, and families facing a wide range of mental health challenges. Your role will involve addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and trauma. Utilizing a client-centered approach, you will help empower clients to reach their therapeutic goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• An active and independent license (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW) issued by the state board; limited or provisional licenses will not be accepted.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine empathetic nature, enhancing client engagement and trust.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and strong computer literacy.

• Ability to assess client needs, make informed treatment decisions, and collaborate effectively with care coordinators and medical personnel.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
