Advanced Practice Nurse - Outpatient Cardiology Specialist

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is excited to announce an opening for an Advanced Practice Nurse specializing in Cardiology to join our vibrant outpatient practice at the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC) in Ronkonkoma, New York. In this full-time, onsite role, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will play a pivotal part within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. Reporting directly to the Chief Nurse Practitioner and under the guidance of the CACC Medical Director, the NP will ensure optimal management of both chronic and acute cardiovascular conditions in our patients.

The Nurse Practitioner will operate within a supportive outpatient office environment located in the heart of Ronkonkoma. Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in cardiology, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting detailed patient histories and performing thorough physical examinations to assess cardiovascular health.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, including EKGs and echocardiograms, and formulating treatment plans based on test results.
• Managing both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions by implementing evidence-based protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and adjust care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Providing patient education on disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to enhance heart health.
• Coordinating with inpatient teams for safe transitions of care, including facilitating hospital admissions and post-discharge planning.
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation in the EMR system regarding patient interactions and treatment progress.
• Participating in ongoing training, research protocols, and quality improvement initiatives to further enhance clinical outcomes.
• Assuming responsibility for ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients and their caregivers.
• Completing additional tasks as assigned by management to support clinic operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The NP will primarily work with adults experiencing a wide range of cardiovascular issues, including but not limited to heart failure, pulmonary arterial hypertension, and post-heart transplant care. The role will require proficiency in managing patients undergoing advanced therapies, including outpatient intravenous and inhaled medications. By delivering compassionate, evidence-based care, the Nurse Practitioner will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for patients navigating complex health conditions.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must have:

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• A current New York State Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license.
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• DEA and National Provider Identifier (NPI) certifications.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will possess at least two years of experience working in a hospital or outpatient setting, preferably within a cardiology specialty. Experience managing patients with advanced heart failure and familiarity with advanced therapies, as well as robust technical skills with EMR systems, MS Office Suite, and other relevant digital tools, is highly desirable. A collaborative attitude and the ability to engage patients and their families in care discussions are essential for success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

Gotham Enterprises Ltd offers a competitive salary range between USD 120,000 to 220,000 annually, adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
