Work Environment\n

This role operates within a remote work setting, facilitating the delivery of outpatient therapy sessions primarily through in-home visits and virtual platforms. As a member of our interdisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team, therapists collaborate with other professionals to effectively address the specific needs of each child and their family. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions and group therapy in our outpatient office, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Lead sessions focused on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development, aimed at mitigating high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or physical aggression.

• Support youth and their caretakers in improving decision-making skills to address behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Maintain consistent collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists involved in the child's care, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.
\n
• Complete all necessary documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, within specified timelines.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to provide insights and recommendations based on individual client experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves children and teens aged 3 to 20 who are diagnosed with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Therapists will work with families from diverse backgrounds, addressing a variety of needs that arise from the unique challenges these exceptional children face. The goal is to create a supportive environment that fosters resilience and promotes positive outcomes for each child and their family.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with additional flexibility on weekends considered a plus.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies is essential.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are mandatory for travel to in-home sessions.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior work experience with children aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
