Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions from your home or any private space conducive to patient care. You will work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate our patients' needs effectively. Our team values collaboration and communication, facilitating regular virtual meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and provide support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand patients' unique backgrounds and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), that incorporate the cultural context of patients.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing interactive techniques to foster engagement and resilience.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive and consistent patient care.

• Respond to mental health crises with effective intervention strategies, offering immediate support to clients in distress.
\n
• Provide education for patients and their families on mental health topics, treatment options, and community resources to promote empowerment and access.

• Ensure documentation is accurate and compliant with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for efficient tracking.

• Participate actively in case conferences, cultural competence training sessions, and ongoing education to stay updated on best practices in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at Pure Insight Counseling Services, you will work with a broad patient population that includes individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds. Your role will involve supporting clients from the LGBTQ+ community, ethnic minorities, and immigrant populations, ensuring that every person feels understood and respected in their therapeutic journey. Your work will contribute to addressing the unique challenges faced by these communities through personalized treatment and advocacy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and a deep understanding of evidence-based treatment methodologies.
\n
• Proven experience administering individual and group therapy, with a focus on culturally responsive practices.
\n
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills with the ability to maintain composure during challenging situations.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective rapport-building with diverse populations.
\n
• Familiarity with EHR systems to facilitate efficient documentation and care coordination.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with different therapeutic modalities and a passion for integrating cultural competence into therapeutic practices.

• Knowledge of community resources and the ability to connect clients with additional support as needed.

• Previous experience in a community health clinic or outpatient setting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
