Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions to support patients and their families in overcoming mental health challenges.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create cohesive treatment plans that consider the unique needs of each child.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during acute mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective care.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the care process.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in regular team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and contributing to continuous improvement in service delivery.

• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health to inform your therapeutic approach.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, employing standardized tools to gauge the developmental and emotional needs of young individuals.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with the developmental stages and unique family dynamics of each child.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to address a wide spectrum of mental health concerns for young clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. You will engage with patients aged 5 to 18, helping them navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and ADHD. This role requires a compassionate and clinically informed approach to build trust and rapport with young patients and their families, ensuring that care is both effective and engaging.

Qualifications\n

• Current accreditation as an LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of California is required; associate-level licenses are not acceptable due to billing restrictions.

• A robust understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience and competence in providing therapeutic interventions to children and adolescents, including individual and family therapy.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a warm and supportive therapeutic environment.

• Proficiency in managing electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technology applications.
\n
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment, contributing to shared goals.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of experience working specifically with children and adolescents in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
