Work Environment

Working onsite in a home care environment allows you to establish meaningful connections with patients in their own homes, where they often feel most comfortable. You will have the flexibility to design your own schedule during weekdays (Monday to Friday), enabling you to cultivate a work-life balance that suits your needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in their home environments to determine their physical therapy needs and capabilities.
• Establish and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to manage pain and enhance mobility.
• Utilize advanced tools and techniques to monitor patient progress, documenting treatments and outcomes diligently.
• Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and family members, ensuring they understand therapeutic goals and techniques to support their rehabilitation process.
• Reassess and adapt treatment plans as necessary, setting new therapeutic goals based on each patient's progress and changing needs.
• Guide patients in selecting and fitting assistive devices to promote independence in self-care and mobility.
• Engage in professional development by attending workshops and continuing education courses to stay current with best practices in orthopedic therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work as a Physical Therapist at Vital Stride will focus on patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the opportunity to implement personalized treatment strategies that cater to each patient's unique situation and rehabilitation goals, fostering a supportive atmosphere that encourages patient engagement in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, providing you with a solid foundation of knowledge in rehabilitation sciences.
• Current State License in Physical Therapy, ensuring compliance with Florida state regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in technology and word processing to document patient treatments and progress efficiently.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
