Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Maricopa Counseling, you will:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ trauma histories, providing the foundation for personalized treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies focused on trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in your practice.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma, build coping strategies, and promote healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for all clients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-triggered emergencies, ensuring clients receive timely assistance when needed.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to enhance their support systems.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Remain informed of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus primarily on individuals impacted by trauma, including survivors of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Understanding the nuanced experiences of trauma survivors is pivotal to your role, facilitating the development of effective treatment plans that empower clients on their paths to recovery.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate, non-judgmental attitude.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with extensive experience in trauma-focused therapy and interventions will be particularly well-suited for our team. Compensation and Benefits\n
