Work Environment

The work environment at Periscope Spine and Joint Rehab Center is collaborative and supportive, promoting both professional and personal growth. You will work onsite alongside a team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) in a modern, well-equipped facility. Our practice operates from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance that allows our staff to thrive both personally and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to establish individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving their mobility and functional goals.
• Effectively manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring that each treatment session is focused, productive, and goal-oriented.
• Utilize a range of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and advanced modalities, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in patient conditions or feedback.
• Educate patients on their conditions and provide them with the tools and knowledge to manage their recovery journey, emphasizing self-care and preventative strategies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialty practitioners, to develop and coordinate holistic care for each patient.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle among patients by incorporating strategies to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and overall wellness.
• Ensure thorough documentation of treatments and communications, adhering to best practices and compliance requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse patient population in the outpatient orthopedic setting. Our clients range from athletes recovering from injuries to individuals of all ages seeking rehabilitation support following surgery or chronic pain management. Our center is dedicated to providing tailored care that considers the unique needs and goals of each patient, fostering an environment that encourages collaboration and patient motivation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
• Clean record with no disciplinary actions on professional license.
• Strong foundational knowledge of orthopedic conditions and treatments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software; experience with WebPT is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient environment.
• Experience working with patients recovering from sports-related injuries and surgeries.
• Skills in developing individualized and group exercise programs.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
