Empower-Self Physical Therapy is a premier physical therapy practice dedicated to providing exceptional outpatient care in a state-of-the-art 5000-square-foot sports medicine facility. We are proud to be a therapist-owned practice that focuses primarily on individuals with private medical insurance. Our team of dedicated professionals includes two seasoned physical therapists and a skilled physical therapy assistant (PTA) who work collaboratively to deliver the highest standard of care and support to our patients.

Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our cutting-edge rehabilitation facility in Sacramento, where we are equipped with the latest therapeutic tools and technologies. The environment fosters teamwork and collaborative practices among therapists and support staff, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. Our regular work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with patients to carefully assess their individual goals and rehabilitation needs, developing personalized treatment plans based on their specific conditions.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, providing focused and effective care that prioritizes each patient's unique progress.
• Implement a variety of treatment modalities aimed at improving clients' range of motion, mobility, and overall functionality.
• Minimize reliance on pain medications and explore alternative strategies to surgical interventions through targeted physical therapy.
• Create comprehensive care plans incorporating diverse therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise protocols, and patient education.
• Motivate patients throughout their recovery, inspiring them to actively participate in their treatment and embrace a healthy lifestyle that includes strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure a multispecialty approach to patient care.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient care services rendered and evaluate treatment outcomes to ensure effectiveness and adapt as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will treat come from a diverse range of backgrounds and include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. By working closely with these patients, you will play a vital role in transforming their rehabilitation journey, helping them regain independence and confidence as they return to their daily activities.

Qualifications

• Earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Possess a valid California license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Maintain a clean professional record without any history of board or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and developing effective exercise protocols tailored to patient needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to enhance patient management and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of the complexities involved in rehabilitation.
• Experience using EMR systems to streamline patient documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
