Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans that focus on preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring mobility according to physician prescriptions and patient needs.
• Assess each patient's physical condition using advanced diagnostic techniques to tailor rehabilitation strategies that enhance bodily functionality.
• Oversee the work of physical therapy assistants, ensuring they are properly implementing treatment plans and adhering to best practices in patient care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' home environments and recommend necessary adaptations or modifications to enhance their independence and safety.
• Administer manual and therapeutic exercises, guiding clients through rehabilitation protocols that facilitate recovery and improve overall health.
• Utilize treatments such as traction, massage, and electrical stimulation to manage patient pain and enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, providing recommendations for modifications tailored to individual patient needs.
• Document patient progress meticulously through clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and collaborate on comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate clients and their families about physical therapy procedures, self-management strategies, and the proper use of therapy equipment.
• Complete functional assessments and refine care plans based on patient evaluation and community resource utilization.
• Stay accessible to physical therapy assistants during client treatments, providing ongoing support and supervision as necessary.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest in physical therapy practices and standards.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in good standing.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
