Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, creating individualized treatment plans based on best practices and clinical guidelines.
• Delivering skilled therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise programs aimed at promoting recovery and restoration of function.
• Providing education and engaging in meaningful discussions with patients and their caregivers regarding treatment goals and progress, fostering an environment of collaboration and understanding.
• Documenting patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Participating in staff meetings and training sessions to continuously enhance your knowledge and clinical skills in orthopedic and specialized rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will engage with patients of all ages, combining evidence-based practices with a personalized approach to care.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) with a focus on orthopedics or related fields.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficiency in word processing and computer systems.
• The ability to build trust and rapport with patients, demonstrating a sincere desire to positively engage with them throughout their recovery journey.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge or specialized training in pediatric physical therapy, sports medicine, or neurological rehabilitation, as well as those with experience using advanced therapeutic modalities in clinical practice.

Compensation and Benefits
