Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of children and adolescents, using standardized tools and personalized interviews.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider developmental milestones and the specific family dynamics of each patient.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, tailored to the age and situation of each client.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to promote healthy communication and effective parenting strategies, helping families create supportive environments for their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure that each patient’s care is well-coordinated and comprehensive.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies for children and adolescents, ensuring their safety and stability.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, potential treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in the recovery process.

• Maintain accurate and secure documentation in adherence to legal, ethical, and organizational standards, using our electronic health record (EHR) system efficiently.

• Actively engage in team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and strategies to foster professional development and improve patient outcomes.

• Stay current with newest research, evidence-based practices, and advancements in child and adolescent mental health through continuing education.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily focus on children and adolescents aged 5-18 who are facing various mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, working closely with their parents and guardians to foster an environment conducive to healing and growth. Your compassionate approach will help build trust and rapport, essential for successful therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington State.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field is preferred.
\n
• Strong foundation in understanding child and adolescent mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches.

• Proven experience in providing individual and family therapy, ideally with young clients.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a child-centered and empathetic approach.

• Ability to establish meaningful connections with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and various computer applications.
\n
• A collaborative mindset, with a strong commitment to teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of direct clinical experience working with children and adolescents, particularly in outpatient settings.

• Demonstrated experience with a range of therapies, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) or trauma-informed care.

• Background in crisis management and handling acute mental health issues in young populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
