Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments that also consider any medical conditions affecting the patient’s wellbeing.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that harmonize psychiatric and medical interventions, ensuring comprehensive care.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each patient, utilizing evidence-based techniques to foster personal growth.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary medical providers to ensure seamless patient care and optimal clinical outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support, especially during mental health emergencies, ensuring that patients feel safe and supported.

• Educate patients on the correlation between mental health and physical wellbeing, empowering them to take charge of their holistic health.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring patient privacy and compliance.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case discussions, and care planning sessions with interdisciplinary colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals encountering mental health issues alongside co-occurring medical conditions. This includes but is not limited to those with autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, and substance use disorders. As our Mental Health Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in not only addressing their mental health needs but also enhancing their overall quality of life by providing compassionate and informed care.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related area.

• Hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential in New York State.

• Proficient in maintaining professional boundaries and navigating ethical complexities while ensuring confidentiality.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical for building rapport with patients and collaborating with healthcare teams.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and other relevant software applications utilized in clinical care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
