West Valley Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our growing team in Riverside, California. You will be working onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, offering specialized care primarily to individuals with orthopedic conditions.

We focus on a personalized approach to treatment, employing a dedicated staff of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant who collaborate closely to ensure comprehensive care and superior outcomes for every patient.

Work Environment

The rehabilitation center is designed to foster a positive and supportive atmosphere where patients feel comfortable during their recovery journeys. Our team-centered approach encourages open communication, with every member contributing to patient management and care plans. Our work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable and manageable hours allowing for a work-life balance that benefits both our team and our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to understand their specific needs and goals and develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each individual.
• Manage a patient load of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring that every session is productive and personalized.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, including manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise regimens, to facilitate recovery and maximize mobility.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure the highest quality of interdisciplinary care.
• Document patient progress comprehensively, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems like WebPT to maintain accurate and detailed records.
• Provide education on injury prevention, lifestyle modifications, and home exercise programs to promote long-term health and wellness.
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of treatment plans, making necessary adjustments based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice is on orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation. Our clients range from individuals recovering from surgeries to athletes seeking to return to sport following injury. You will engage with patients of various ages and activity levels, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet their unique requirements and aspirations. Your role will be essential in reducing reliance on medications and surgical interventions through holistic and strategic rehabilitation planning.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to formally practice as a physical therapist.
• Current, unrestricted licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean professional record without any board actions or disciplinary measures related to your practice.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Thorough understanding and ability to apply manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy settings is strongly preferred, with proven success in maximizing patient outcomes.
• Experience with diverse patient populations, including geriatric and pediatric cohorts, is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized fitness and wellness programs is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health insurance, paid time off, and continuing education reimbursements.
