As a member of our team, you will operate remotely within a vibrant and collaborative framework. Our outpatient facility encourages online and face-to-face interactions, maintaining flexibility to cater to our client’s unique needs. We ensure a supportive work environment that promotes professional growth while providing flexible working hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some required adaptability for patient appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Mental Health Counselor, you will engage in diverse tasks that are integral to patient care:

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' histories and tailor tailored treatment strategies.

• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans, focusing on trauma recovery, coping strategies, and resilience-building.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enabling clients to unpack their trauma and strengthen their coping abilities.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care and continuity of support.

• Deliver crisis intervention when necessary, acting swiftly to provide support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses while guiding them toward available resources and applied coping mechanisms.

• Maintain meticulous records in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of client data.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings while engaging in continuous professional development to enhance trauma-informed care expertise.

The ideal candidate will work primarily with adults and adolescents who have experienced trauma. These clients often grapple with PTSD, various anxiety disorders, and emotions tied to past events. Qualifications\n

To thrive in this position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience preferred.

• Robust understanding of trauma-focused therapeutic modalities and resilience-building techniques.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Capable of managing high-stress scenarios with professionalism and poise.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.

Preferred Experience\n
