Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Free Life Counseling, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:

• Administering trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and formulate appropriate treatment strategies.

• Collaborating with your peers and multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists and other therapists, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize recovery and resilience.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate the healing process.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their experiences, build coping strategies, and strengthen their overall mental health.

• Actively participating in crisis intervention when necessary, responding to trauma-related emergencies with urgency and compassion.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses and incorporating coping mechanisms, while also guiding them to additional resources as needed.

• Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engaging in ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in trauma therapy through continued education and team discussions.

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced significant trauma that affects their daily functioning and overall well-being. Our clients may include children, adolescents, and adults coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
\n
• Technical proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• A strong team player with the capacity to work collaboratively across disciplines.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience is required, candidates with extensive experience in trauma treatment, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches will be given preference. Familiarity with other therapeutic modalities and ongoing education in trauma-informed practices will be considered advantageous.
