Work Environment

This position requires the therapist to work onsite, visiting patients in their homes within the Centreville area. Our unique home care setting allows patients to receive therapy in a comfortable environment, which can accelerate recovery and improve outcomes. The typical working hours are from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or other medical conditions in the comfort of their homes.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of each patient, utilizing various therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and state-of-the-art equipment.
• Implement treatment strategies aimed at relieving pain, improving physical function, and enhancing mobility through dedicated patient engagement.
• Document treatment sessions meticulously to track patient progress, responses to therapies, and to adjust goals as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with caregivers and families to educate them on therapeutic techniques, assistive devices, and self-management strategies to promote continuity of care.
• Stay current in your practice by engaging in professional development activities including workshops, classes, and membership in relevant professional societies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients range from children to seniors, with various diagnoses requiring individualized care plans. This role will engage with clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological disorders, and those requiring rehabilitation for chronic conditions, extending tailored support that adapts to their unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy, ensuring compliance with Virginia's healthcare regulations.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey treatment plans and educate patients and families.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic computer applications to maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Flexibility to adjust treatment protocols and schedules based on patient needs and home care environments.

Preferred Experience

Experience in home health care is preferred but not required. However, a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
