Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine the mental health needs and goals of clients, including initial intake assessments and ongoing evaluations to track progress.

• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions addressing a variety of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, and coping skills, employing effective therapeutic techniques like CBT or DBT.

• Lead couples and family therapy sessions to help clients navigate relationship dynamics and communication issues. Provide guidance and strategies for conflict resolution.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, establishing meaningful objectives and selecting appropriate interventions.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention during emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate and effective support in high-stress situations.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about specific mental health conditions, discussing treatment options and coping strategies to promote understanding and empowerment.

• Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential client records, documenting assessments, treatment progress, and outcomes, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Adhere to all ethical guidelines and legal requirements governing counseling practices, ensuring client confidentiality, informed consent, and dignity in care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our LPCs serve a diverse outpatient population, working with children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Clients may experience issues ranging from mild to severe emotional distress, requiring a tailored approach to treatment that encompasses individual therapy, family dynamics, and relationship counseling.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.

• Demonstrated experience in providing clinical counseling services, particularly with diverse populations.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

• Strong empathy and a non-judgmental approach to client care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in working with specific populations or issues, such as trauma-informed care or adolescent counseling.

• Training in particular therapeutic methodologies, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or Play Therapy, is a plus.

• Previous experience in an outpatient or community mental health setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Gateway Psychotherapy Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Our fee-for-service model ensures you receive guaranteed rates, with payment made ahead of collections, alleviating the worry of waiting for reimbursement.
