Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility necessary for counselors to provide care to our patients from the comfort of their own homes. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative environment that prioritizes mental health and well-being, both for our clients and our staff. Our work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility available to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to ascertain patients' needs and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to individuals, couples, and families.
\n
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and support sessions to create a sense of community among clients facing common challenges.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a steady flow of coordinated patient care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services and immediate support for patients experiencing mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their own healing journeys.
\n
• Ensure meticulous documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings and professional development workshops to remain current in the latest mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

We serve a diverse client base, comprising individuals from varying socio-economic backgrounds who are experiencing mental health challenges. Our patient population includes children, adolescents, adults, and families, allowing our counselors to develop a broad range of therapeutic skills while impacting lives across the lifespan.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within New York State.
\n
• A strong foundation in mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic modalities, and best practices in counseling.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and devise effective, individualized treatment strategies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to connect with a diverse range of clients.

• Competence in maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards within therapeutic relationships.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a comfort level with various computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of experience in a clinical setting, providing individual and group therapy.

• Familiarity with community mental health resources and networks within the Victor area.
\n
• Experience utilizing telehealth platforms to provide remote counseling services effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
